Just thought it was worth noting. Honestly Ben, that video impressed me. That's not easy to do these days when everyone's aiming for the LCD. Most videos today are a result of a formula conceived for views or comments etc, but your video backed up your statement on your blog. It might be the best kinetic typography vid I've seen, and I just watched over an hour of them last week. You're right that I'm going to be a hard sell though, and it'll be more on the content of your character than that of your videos. Talk is cheap on YT these days; we've reached a point where a fun video about the decline in the bee population is actually an ice cream commercial in disguise. (Sadly I didn't make that example up.) So I'm going to give you some advice, and take from it what you will: Don't settle for trying to achieve a higher standard on Your channel with Your videos. You have a considerable following, so inspire THEM as well. Lead by example, but help them follow your lead. Share some of your video making secrets with them. Encourage them to do as you have done. Inspire them to reach for the top instead of following these other guys to the bottom. Simply put, if the "shaytards" and "professional idiots" of YT are the Dark Side (quicker, easier, more seductive), you need to become the motherfucking Force. So I hope you stay true to your mission statement and stick with it. If I can get my ducks in a row with my project sooner than later, you won't be alone in your quest for a Higher Standard.
